JR’s Sensory Play Garden was born from a mother’s journey and an educator’s heart. After over 12 years of teaching in schools and raising a child with ADHD, I saw firsthand how many children especially neurodivergent learners struggle in overstimulating or rigid environments. I also saw the need for families like mine to have safe, inclusive spaces where kids can explore, regulate, and grow through play. That’s why I created JR’s Sensory Play Garden a welcoming sensory studio where curiosity blooms, emotions are honored, and every child is free to just be.

Miss Jess

As a longtime educator, and proud dad its important to create space for sensory growth and parent relief. I co-founded JR’s Sensory Play Garden to help create calm, creative spaces where children can thrive and parents can catch their breath

Mr. Rani

Two young girls are outside at a wooden table, painting and playing with colorful toys. The girl facing the camera has brown hair styled in two buns, is smiling, and is wearing a purple shirt with denim overalls. The other girl, with light brown hair in loose waves, is seen from behind wearing a pink shirt. The table is scattered with small paint containers, toys, and craft supplies, with lush greenery in the background.

Vision for community impact

We envision a thriving sensory studio that becomes a cherished hub for families in our community one that bridges early childhood development with playful learning. Our long-term goal is to expand access to inclusive play, partner with schools and organizations, and reinvest in our space to ensure all children, regardless of ability, can enjoy and benefit from high-quality sensory play experiences.
